- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing well.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Allow to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the baking sheet.
