Master chef John Zhang shows you easy and delicious appetizers recipes that are perfect for any party or gathering. 0:10 Egg rolls with Apple Plum Sauce …
@TasteShow Hi Chef Zhang – i was wondering if you could post a link as to where you got all your cooking supplies. Would love to have a set of pots and knives like yours!
Things I've never seen before; 1. Egg rolls with processed ham and boiled veggies with no flavor left. 2. Seafood Spring rolls with the seafood flavor boiled out then overloaded with mayonnaise. 3. Chicken Wonton bites with curry, except from southern China which has adapted Indian curry paste in a few dishes. Southeast Asia, of course, does use curry. 4. Crab Rangoon with celery or carrot or cilantro or soy sauce or sesame oil or white pepper or a large proportion of cream cheese to crab on a RAVIOLI wrapper. 5. Any combination of mayonnaise, oreos and banana deep fried in a wrapper. 6. Frying food at such a low temperature that the food absorbs the oil instead of frying in it.
Things I have seen or made; 1. Egg rolls with raw ground pork and raw, finely chopped veggies (with the cabbage rubbed with salt first, left for 15-30 minutes, then rinsed and squeezed or run thru a salad spinner), then wrapped and fried at 350-375 degrees. 2. Crispy Seafood Spring rolls made with raw seafood and raw veggies prepared, wrapped and fried as in #1 just above here. 3. Chicken Wonton without curry powder but perhaps Chinese 5 spice instead. 4. Crab Rangoon with a 2-3 to 1 ratio of crab to cream cheese with a tiny amount of powdered sugar to bring out the sweetness of the crabmeat. Nothing else, crab, cream cheese, powdered sugar. Then of course wrapped and fried as #1. Served with a mild sweet and sour sauce. Mayonnaise and sriracha masks or completely ruins the delicate flavor of the crab. It's called CRAB Rangoon not mayo, cream cheese or spicy Rangoon with some crab. 5. No comparison here but if someone gave me a mayonnaise, oreo, banana fried Spring roll WITHOUT telling me what was in it, I'd spit it out first then never speak to them or at least never trust them again. Disclaimer; I can't stand oreos or any sweets for that matter but oreos with mayonnaise? Eww. Cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls, soda, candy etc? Nope. 1 or 2 bites maybe once a year, anything after those bites, I'm sick to my stomach. I'll make all those baked goods though (and I'm good at it) but only if others are around to eat it. No way would I make a banana spring roll though.
Just my own opinion on these recipes. I'm fine if you don't agree.
If you boil vegetables and prawn in this way and thrown the water away, all it's vitamins will disappear.I think it's not the healthy process to cook.Never mind pls.
I cannot understand how much mayonnaise was in the second one. That’s a madness! When I do stuff like this, I use Greek yogurt and two or three small tea spoons of mayonnaise and it tastes great.. This amount is crazy. Very unhealthy.
But this is just my opinion, the job is well done and the place is clean.
Those are Indian Samosa varieties.. !! This is how we make different types of samosas… !!!
