Ingredients

- 2 cups of three ladies jasmine rice
- 3 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of salt (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of oil or butter (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice to remove excess starch and clean the grains.
- Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
- Add the rinsed jasmine rice to the boiling water, stir, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for an additional 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
Notes
- Store leftover rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Reheat by sprinkling a little water over the rice and microwaving until warm.
- This rice pairs well with stir-fried vegetables, grilled chicken, or savory curries.
