Ingredients
- 4 ripe large peaches, halved and pitted
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Place the peach halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon, and chopped nuts. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly to form the topping.
- Brush the peach halves with vanilla extract and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Evenly spoon the crumble mixture over each peach half, pressing gently.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and peaches are tender. For extra caramelization, broil for 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for enhanced flavor.
- For a dairy-free option, replace butter with coconut oil. You can also use frozen peaches—thaw and dry thoroughly before baking.
