Indulge in a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert with our strawberry tiramisu recipe. This vibrant and fruity take replaces rich cocoa flavors with sweet and tangy fresh strawberries, creating a dessert that’s perfect for spring and summer.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 package (12 oz) ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by washing and slicing them, reserving a few for garnish.
  2. Make the mascarpone cream by combining mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl and beating until smooth, then gently folding in whipped heavy cream.
  3. Assemble the tiramisu by dipping ladyfingers in coffee, layering them with mascarpone cream and strawberries in a baking dish.
  4. Chill the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours or overnight, then garnish with reserved strawberries and mint before serving.

Notes

  • For a boozy twist, add a tablespoon of strawberry liqueur or rum to the coffee.
  • Substitute mascarpone cheese with cream cheese if needed.
  • Use strawberry juice or milk for a non-coffee version.
  • Add strawberry jam for extra flavor.
  • This recipe can be made gluten-free using gluten-free ladyfingers.
