Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 loaf of Italian or French bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bell peppers and onions, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until tender.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season as needed.
  3. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese on top of the meat mixture and allow it to melt.
  4. Slice the bread down the center without cutting through, and stuff the melted cheese and beef mixture into the bread.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
