Bottom of vessel/colander water is dripping tht makes sabudana upma/kichdi into lump or slimy. In such above case of more water still sitting at bottom- put all that sabudana on to a cotton cloth to soak extra water

You are not supposed to use sabudana just after taking it out from the water . You have to keep it in cover for atleast 1-2 hrs so that there will be no lump in the kadai. Coconut powder is also used at some places with grounded peanuts.
This s a Maharashtrian style javvarisi upma..lemon is not at all used . Also coarsely powdered peanut should be added.not whole peanuts.. side dish is sweetened curd.

It's super sticky and for good sabudana khichdi, sabudana needs to be soaked for at least 8 hours.
