- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by dicing them and mixing with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; let sit.
- Make the batter by whisking together sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt; in another bowl mix butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk, then combine.
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC), grease a loaf pan, pour in batter, and bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve warm with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or toasted with butter for added delight.
