- 200g dark chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa)
- 100g unsalted butter
- 150g granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate with unsalted butter over simmering water or in the microwave until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix in the melted chocolate and butter mixture, then add vanilla extract.
- Sift in all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased square baking pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
- Freezing is possible for up to a month; thaw at room temperature before serving.
- For a richer taste, serve with powdered sugar or chocolate glaze, and pair with fresh berries or ice cream.
