- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Slice the beef, cut the broccoli, and whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate the beef for 10 minutes.
- Sear the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add the marinated beef, and sear until browned. Set aside.
- Stir-fry the broccoli: Add broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes. Then, add garlic and ginger.
- Add the sauce and serve: Pour in beef broth and oyster sauce, stir to combine, simmer until thickened, and serve hot over cooked rice.
