Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup quality tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- Your choice of vegetables: bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by mixing warm water with active dry yeast and letting it sit for 5 minutes. Combine flour and salt, then mix in the yeast until a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough to your desired thickness and spread a generous layer of quality tomato sauce over it.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add your favorite vegetables and toppings.
- Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden-brown. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes for best texture.
- Avoid microwaving to keep the crust from becoming soggy.
