Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced colorful vegetables (bell peppers, olives, onions, etc.)
- Optional toppings (pepperoni, sausage, basil, etc.)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour. Knead until smooth, cover and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangular shape for your puzzle pizza base.
- Prepare your toppings by dicing colorful vegetables and arranging meats and cheeses in small bowls.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly on the rolled-out dough, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, and artistically arrange your toppings.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Bake the assembled pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For freezing, wrap slices in plastic wrap and place in freezer bags, reheating in the oven when ready to enjoy.
