I realize this is a pretty old video, but I was wondering if I could use avocado oil instead of the coconut oil. I’m trying to cut back on the saturated fat.
Again I am going to make some for myself and the dogs with some substation. Hold the walnuts for my overweight dog. Change out the chocolate chips for chopped apples and trade the cranberries for blueberries so that the blueberries and the ground flaxseed can help with their joints on days when they can't take the doggie aspirin. Pumpkin pie spice is poison for dogs so I will sub some puree Pumpkin powder. Cut the cinnamon and salt out completely. I am just going to have to think on what to substitute the Maple syrup for. I don't want them having to much sugar and the fake stuff without sugar can kill the dogs. Don't want to use honey because the sugar. Do I need something sticky for it to work? Maybe homemade pure peanut butter blended with some banana would work?
Great recipe! Thanks Dani. I didn’t have quick oat and pumpkin pure, so substituted them with LSA mix and home made apple sauce. Also didn’t have cranberry in hand, so didn’t add it. Still the result was awesome! They are super delicious and healthy! I’ll make them again 🙂
Looking at the nutritional profile: how can a cookie have 0 grams Total Fat and 4.6 grams Saturated Fat? If it has 4.6 grams Saturated Fat then the Total Fat has to be at least 4.6 grams. Anything that has coconut oil in it has fat.
wow, I do a version of these as well but with ripe bananas, so obviously you're brilliant, LOL. Have you had luck finding dried cranberries with no added sugar? I haven't. I'm always trying to cut sugar so I leave those out and put in pumpkin seeds instead.
Try taking 1- 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats ground into oat flour in a blender or food processor instead of using the quick oats. Also use the rolled oats in the amount Dani said. It's still all oats.
Hi Too crumbly! Fifficult to make the cookies, I put them in a Muffin tin. •Next time I think I'll add Egg…….but I wanted to follow these directions like this, and for my Niece who doesn't eat egg.
You should do a list of your pantry items, the things you you most of, like maple syrup, rolled oars, flax seed and hiw you buy them, is their a better place than others to buy these items, hiw do you store them, thungs like that, thank you so much for your videos, keep them coming
Did anyone know that it’s “pEE-cans when the nut is still on the tree…they are pEE – CONS when they are harvested…I grew up around pecan and walnut farmers (I had 10 acres of walnuts)
Thanks love this
Thank you !

Thank you very much!! I just followed your recipe and cookies came out just like yours. They are delicious.
I can’t do nuts. Can I do pumpkin seeds instead?
Hi Dani,
Did you try you "thinking out loud idea"? Did you try it as a "granola" option?
@Danny can I use applesauce instead of pumpkin thanks 🙏

Can i make this without coconut oil?
Baking half of it in muffin tray and the rest as breakfast bars . I t is very delicious will them again thank you
I would probably do pecans and dark chocolate for the chips lol
Can you use gluten free oats or steel cut gluten free oats and what’s the amount to use and can you use flax oil instead? 🤔
Thank you, can't wait to try this.
Substitutions for coconut oil?
Pépites de chocolat très mauvais sucre….
I made these and all I can say is wow! Delicious I substituted butternut squash as thats what I had, and they came out super yummy! Thank you!
Hi
Too crumbly!
Fifficult to make the cookies, I put them in a Muffin tin.
•Next time I think I'll add Egg…….but I wanted to follow these directions like this, and for my Niece who doesn't eat egg.
If you soak the rolled oats overnight (in water), they will mix in better. I haven't tried this yet, but I usually soak my oats in advance.
What if you hate coconut? Is there another good choice for oil?
Is there something I can substitute for the flax seeds? We are not vegan. Thanks in advance
could we eliminate the oil?
I love those cookies
Oh my!!! I was thinking about the granola, the same time you mentioned it!!😍

If I put these in the freezer will they last longer? There's no way I can finish this in a week and I'm the only one in the house who likes pumpkin.
I will have to make this after I cook my pie pumpkin and turn it into pumpkin purée 🤪🤪🤪🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Can you make this without the maple syrup??
Does it still consider gluten free cookies if the rolled oats I’m using is not labeled as gluten-free?
Did anyone know that it’s “pEE-cans when the nut is still on the tree…they are pEE – CONS when they are harvested…I grew up around pecan and walnut farmers (I had 10 acres of walnuts)
But chocolate for breakfast? Doesn’t work..
What syrup or honey do u recommend
Hope they were vegan chocolate chips.
