Instructions
- Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the shortening and mix until crumbly. Gradually add warm water until the dough forms a ball.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured countertop and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into squares or triangles.
- Heat oil in a deep saucepan over medium-high heat. Fry the cut dough pieces for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

- Reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
