- 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 cup marinara sauce or homemade pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.)
Instructions
- Mix flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add warm water and olive oil to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Prepare the pizza sauce by combining marinara sauce with herbs or making it from scratch and simmering for about 15 minutes.
- Chop your chosen toppings into bite-sized pieces.
- Roll out the risen dough, spread the sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, and layer the toppings. Bake at 475°F for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden.
Notes
- Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze slices wrapped in plastic wrap and aluminum foil for up to 2 months.
- Reheat in the oven for best texture.
