- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, warm water, yeast, salt, and sugar to form a shaggy dough.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet, spread tomato sauce on top, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat slices in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
- Pair with garlic bread and a crisp salad for a complete meal.
