- 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Mix green beans with sauce until well coated.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top evenly with 2/3 cup of fried onions.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining fried onions, and bake for another 5 minutes until golden.
Notes
- You can prepare this casserole a day ahead and refrigerate. Bake directly from fridge, adding an extra 10 minutes.
- Use fresh green beans for the best flavor and texture.
