Thank you for doing these. I've been trying to eat this way for about a month but I do find I have a lot of questions pop up. Seeing literally what the meals could look like is very helpful.
Especially separating out the egg and veges, that was so helpful! My brain was able to synthesise this info lol.
Thank you for this great information. Can you recommend a substitute for cooked spinach, which I do not like the flavor of? I love spinach raw but I see that a lot of your recipes use it cooked, which I cannot do. Thanks!
Gotta say, I really don't like fish at all and I have acid reflux so bad I can't have tomatoes. Thought about giving up looking for some Mediterranean Diet healthy foods, but looking on your website and seeing tuna and a variety of Grains/beans kind of encouraged me.
Is fish an absolute must? I had a very bad allergic reaction a few years ago & when I look at it now, I get nauseous. :/ I am currently eating low carb/keto, but want to try something different. Thanks
Great video. My personal opinion and a rule of thumb for me is always Wild caught Salmon. Never ever Farm raised garbage as they are in filthy water and eat their own poop! Even if the label says "Resonsibly Farm raised. Yea, right, anything can be said when something if for sale. Truth is, they eat their poop regardless!
Okay, I have a struggle. I considered the Mediterranean diet. My struggle has been recipes. Most I find to me seem "Americanized" so not really Mediterranean. I then decided to go to the library. Well, I have been to 2 big ones and no recipe books. Ugh! Will you be giving some recipes here?
I usually do the plate guide–but don't always cook mediterranean influenced meals. I still eat the chile, tacos, some American dishes, etc. But use the plate guide and much more veggies and have cut meat portions down (red meat a couple times a month, etc.). It's a great way to eat and have been doing this going on 3 years. Also there are lots of recipes online. Once you know the pyramid (see Oldways for that), you can follow with the emphasis on whole grains and veggies. This is a fun intro to the Mediterranean way of eating.
I thought chicken isn't supposed to be on the Mediteranean Diet? Otherwise I'm working on it too. I'm going to look into sourdough bread so I can make lots of veggie sandwiches.
this was my first week. I spent $150 but I admit some of it was on some nice colorful plates/bowls because I’m so used to eating on plain white plates, (Corelle dishes) and the colorful plates/bowls made such a difference visually. The recipes I tried made me feel like I was eating in a nice cafe. The only thing is I’ve never eaten olives and I was allowed to take two to sample from the deli but I didn’t like it but I do have a very nice olive oil and I bought some bread (The Rustik company) in my supermarket bread section which is made with olive oil only. I also found some feta cheese that came in a container that was cheaper than Boars head that was more expensive but the cheaper brand was made from sheeps milk and was imported. Atalanta was the name. I do have acid reflux so the tomatoes and wine vinegar did bother my throat a little but surprisingly the olive oil did not. I think it actually helps coat my throat and makes it feel better. thank you for making these videos. I have learned alot in a short time.

Please ditch the background music. It's annoying, distracting & totally unnecessary.
Lovely and delicious
My problem is I'm not good at cooking. And due to a back injury it's hard on me to stand in the kitchen. Any suggestions please

My doctor suggested me this diet and I am decided to try this out. Can I use salt to season the meat or salmon?

Do you have any freezer friendly Mediterranean meals? That will be great for this working momma that wants healthy meals for the family.

I didn't know you had a twin 🤣🤣
Imma do this
Do you have any tips for picky eaters? My husband is trying to eat healthier but he still hates the taste of vegetables.
Just received your cookbook in the mail today and I see lots of great recipes to try!
I love love your channel.
I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of your cookbook!
