Instructions
- Start by slicing the sirloin steak thinly, and set aside. Slice the onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms to create a colorful and flavorful mixture that will be the heart of your casserole.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Cook until they are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Cook the sliced steak over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper for added flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked steak, sautéed vegetables, and softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until well combined. Transfer this mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. For an extra crispy top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
