  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 4 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of unsalted butter until melted and simmering.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes, then add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth and glossy.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and pipe mounds of dough onto the tray. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  6. Once the cream puffs are cool, cut a small slit in the bottom of each puff and fill with whipped cream. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
