Don't cut thru the root of the onion to avoid the fumes. Cut along side the root and discard it. Works for me.

Put your tangue out to prevent from crying đ while cutting your onions, it works!đ
The onion's tears are coming from the stem. I cut onion straight down, surrounding the stem.

I use the same sesame oil! Love that one =) And yum mushrooms!
