1 can condensed milk (395g) + 1 can milk (same measure) + 4 eggs + vanilla extract. blend everything, make caramel sauce and bake everything in the oven using a water bath. there you go, flan!
chicken house under a new gazebo with a fence? new communication but i think not imposing on chicken "pet? is better than a cat because of purpose to have self reliance. taste bud transition off eggs took me years similar to hot sauce. i did not eat salad often and mostly Ceasar. the transition of my taste buds made salad edible.
Tip: just put the caramel plate into skillet first and then pour your custard 🍮 into the caramel plate that way you won't go through the trouble of spilling it.
Hi, could i make this dessert in a metal pan? 😊 Edit: I halved the recipe and baked the flan in a 6 inch/15cm metal pan. I've never made caramel before but surprisingly everything went good. I even managed to temper the eggs successfully lmao. Even though I absolutely dislike creme caramel, my mom found it delicious. I will definitely make this again for her!
It's probably a good thing the location is undisclosed – because I would totally show up and eat whatever you made. It's a very dangerous game just saying upstate NY. People are going to end up outside your home asking for tarts and cakes.
I’ve made this three times.. When I flip it over, there’s caramelize sugar that stays on the bottom of the bowl. I don’t know why. I would like that to be on top of the flan. What can I do to correct this?
Maybe you know anyway now, egg industry does paprika in the chicken's food to turn the yolks more orange. Maybe try that out. Thanks for your existence, also <3
Would it be helpful to put the pan in the skillet in the oven, and then put the eggs in the pan and then the plate on top? So you don't have to move the pan full of eggs
I wonder if Claire and Brad are still in contact, cause they're both doing the farm life with chickens and living in the woods, promoting a more natural way of cooking things, they seem to have more in common than we thought
I know I'm way late to this video, but are there written instructions for this anywhere? I personally prefer to have the recipe written out when I'm doing it myself, and I didn't see this in the Dessert Person cookbook anywhere.
If you thought this episode was delightfully insane, just wait till next week when we welcome our first guest to the kitchen. Any guesses?
Watching Claire chop wood was lovely
Did anyone else feel extremely alarmed when she placed the hot pan on the corner of the oven and just left it there without scooting it in😂😂

I just dump the sugar in. Never had not melted or burned caramel
I love to see you enjoying the chicken life. I raised my 9 hens from chicks. They are so sweet and we love the fresh eggs.
We have a French Canadian family recipe called “tarte aux œufs” (egg pie) — it’s an egg custard filling with nutmeg sprinkled on top and it’s 💯 delish
Everything ab this video is dreamy
Claire : how do you know when there’s an egg?
There’s an egg in there
my fave dessert ever! although i never saw it made in an oven we always made it on a stove
Just dig a pit and throw leaves and compostables in there. Hire someone to turn it once a year or two and the bottom will be filled with black gold.
Claire being happy makes me happy.

I'm v obsessed with the chicken, woodcutting, and cabin content in general
I'm sure it's been said before in these comments… I definitely didn't come up with this joke myself…. But….. MILF = Man I Love Flan
How far ahead can you make this before serving and how should it be stored before serving? Would it be less eggy if just using egg whites?
Vinny, why do you have our Claire out here like this?
DAAAMN thats a beautiful place <3

I had chickens at my parents house and they recognized their name, would come when we called them and were so sweet! ❤️
Hey Claire it’s important to put golf balls in the hatching box’s because it will steer snakes away from eating the eggs and encourage the hens to lay
What’s the reason for heating up the milk?
