Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley), chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken by placing the breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, covering with marinade, and refrigerating for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat, remove the chicken from the marinade, and discard excess marinade. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F (74Β°C).
- Remove from grill, let rest for a few minutes, garnish with lemon slices and fresh herbs, then serve.
Notes
- Marinating for at least 30 minutes enhances flavor; avoid over-marinating to prevent acidity.
- Grill temperature should be medium to ensure even cooking.
- Always check internal temperature with a meat thermometer for safety.
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor, although dried herbs can suffice in a pinch.
- Resting the chicken post-grill is essential for juiciness.
