- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, then let it rise covered for about an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475ยฐF (245ยฐC). After the dough rises, punch it down and form a 12-inch round base. Spread pizza sauce on top.
- Add shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
- Serve hot with garlic dipping sauce or a green salad for a complete meal.
- Consider using whole wheat flour for a healthier option, but note that it may alter texture slightly.
