Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- To enhance the flavor, you can add a splash of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkle of chopped nuts on top
Instructions
- Wash the peaches thoroughly. Cut them in half and remove the pits. Quarter if large for easier grilling.
- Mix olive oil or melted butter with brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush onto cut sides of peaches for even coating and enhanced caramelization.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375-400ยฐF for gas). Ensure charcoal coals are glowing for charcoal grilling.
- Place peaches cut side down on grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes, flip and cook another 3-4 minutes until grill marks appear and peaches are soft and caramelized.
- Arrange grilled peaches on a serving platter. Top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, garnish with mint leaves, and drizzle with honey or balsamic if desired for extra flavor.
Notes
- Store leftover grilled peaches and ice cream separately in airtight containers in the fridge. Best enjoyed within 1-2 days.
- Briefly reheat peaches on grill or microwave before serving for optimal warmth and flavor.
- Refreeze leftover ice cream for future desserts.
