Everything looks delicious ! It all looks like the breakfast at the hotel I stayed at in Kiel when I worked there, very different than the traditional American breakfast of bacon and eggs, waffles and pancakes. Not complaining as it helped with my hangover I had everyday, LOL
Here in South Australia we have fritz. Kids eat it cut up with tomato sauce (ketchup). You called it Bologna sausage. I love it when our foods pop up in your videos. It’s a historical link.
Just a hint: the Stadtwurst you have shown in the Franconian Brotzeit is called "Hausmacher Stadtwurst". The "Stadtwurst einfach" also exist in Franconia. It is the same as the "Fleischwurst" in the "Weck, Worscht und Woi" just a bit smaller in diameter.
In Rheinhessen we also love "Handkees mit Musigg" It is a Handkäse in a Vinegar and oil dressing with Onions. Also tastes very good with Limburger instead of Handkäse…
Good morning Marta. I can't wait for this damn pestilence to be over so we can go and meet my German family again. I'm hungry seeing all that and I've just had breakfast.
Limburger! What memories it brings…mostly of a corpse in a fridge. No matter how well you packed it up you could not stop it from stinking up the entire fridge.
you look amazing! best wishes on your new family member❣️💪🏻🙏 i've known other german people (particularly from the south) that talk about "second breakfast." candidly, i have trouble with the first one, lol!
Moechtest Du mal was Lustiges hoeren ?
This video reminds me of my last trip to Germany in 2016, when I had some cheeses and sausage salads in Bamberg and Munich. Fortunately, my local Lidl has some of those items. I miss Germany.
Ahh yes! Brotzeit was very important in our Weiterstadt neighborhood! Especially on the weekends. I always attacked the pickles and the potato cheese!!! We have a great German restaurant in Philadelphia (Brauhaus Schmitz). That serves a great wood platter of brotzeit! Thanks so much for doing these videos!
Ahh Brotzeit ist Mahlzeit. Much of my almost 30 years in Germany 2 of 3 meals a day were kalt gegessen. You said you were only going to touch on what can be had, and I have to agree fully with that. Germany has soooo many items and variations of items to eat at a Brotzeit that I doubt even after 30 years I've tried even half of them. Funny thing is, I've been in the US now for over 20 years, and since retiring, I'm going back to eating more brotzeiten. It's just easier to make, healthier, and less calories. Problem is is getting the right breads and charcuterie. Thankfully there's internet shopping. 🤣😁😉😎
Everything presented so beautifully 🙂 Always a pleasure to enjoy your videos, your talent and charming personality. Would Leberkäse be a member of this Speisekarte?
Looks yummy. So sweet . 😋👍
I'm REALLY enjoying this channel. Danke schön for sharing all the culinary treasures of beautiful Deutschland. 👍❤️🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
In Niedrescachsen we say Abendbrot
hackepeter mit zwiebeln, salz und pfeffer, auf knusprigen brötchen
I'd be interested in knowing how German cuisine has adapted to vegan or vegetarian tastes.
I love this channel and all this food makes me miss home 😭😭😁
That Swiss sausage salad looks like something I could become addicted to!
Do you have babybells in Germany?
You make me home sick for Germany.
Wunderbar

I'm hungry now. Better get in the kitchen and make a little plate of Brotziet.
One of my favorite meals!
Yum, just what I am in the mood for. Very nice, thank you Marta.
Nice . Well liked

It’s amazing that they “look” all the same, but it’s not the case. Those little variations and substitutions makes a big difference. Thanks, Marta 😊
I actually have Brotzeit as a light meal in summer.

Schade Drummmm
Ich habe die westfälische & Niedersächsiche sowie Ost & Nordfriesche Varianten vermisst
Hier in Franken da ist oft ein Limburger auf dem Teller und/oder Grupften 😉😃
