  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture, then stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Let the rolls rise for another 15 minutes. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven, brush with additional melted butter if desired, and serve warm.
