- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides, then transfer to a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion until translucent. Sprinkle flour, cook for 1 minute, then add beef broth. Stir until thickened, then add meatballs back into the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, minced garlic, and herbs.
- Serve meatballs with gravy alongside creamy mashed potatoes garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture.
- Use homemade or store-bought mashed potatoes for convenience.
