I made these today. They were alright but definitely do not resemble meat in any way. I don’t I understand why there is a need to make any vegetable mimic the taste or consistency of meat? One doesn’t hear meat eaters marketing meat as tasting like a vegetable. Promoting these as simply a pasty alternative is more believable.
Thank you for this. Really like the way you made the video, you speak very naturally and you don´t edit out any mistakes, it´s lovely to hear someone making a video this way. Made these last week and they were wonderful. Thanks so much for taking your time to share with us. Kind regards, David.
Love butter, it’s healthy, has much needed Vitamin A, helps reduce lung and skin issues. Lovely, thank you for this. I will make this. I made this pastry at school in home economics.. so lucky to do cooking and sewing and pattern drafting at school. so interested in the best refresher course from a nice cook. Can no longer buy great meat pies in Oz, the champions and the duds never have proper luscious flaky pastry,.. I squally make champagne pastry…as did my mother and grandmother. visited ireland a few years ago and it was everywhere, low sugar, low apple pies made with love.
I love pastry and pies and that looks wonderful. It occurred to.me if you forget the parmesan again you could bind it into some butter and push it through the hole part way thru cooking.and add your tspn of water so it permeates the filling.
UPDATE: I made this over the weekend. It's amazing! I reheated @ 300*F for 25 minutes. (I do not use a microwave, ever.) I have had digestive issues for 9 yrs. I had no issues with this dish. Herbs and spices were used for medicinal purposes, long ago. My father used to say that "people are digging their graves with their teeth". Diet is so important. Thanks, dear friend, for sharing! Be blessed, today and always! =)
thank you…I made it just like you said and wow everyone love it….thank you my Lady am your fan, going to the Island and will also make it there…great to eat for a late dinner under the sun…love it
I know what is for lunch tomorrow and Sunday! I have everything, except fresh mushrooms. I put onions in almost everything. They are one of nature's best remedies. Thanks, celt, for taking time to share this with us. Be blessed, today and always! =)
Hi Celt! I followed you over to this channel. These look so good and I think I am going to have to give these a go. I have a Cornish friend coming to visit me here in the US soon and I wonder what he'l think of your veggie version? I've got Celiac Disease, follow a keto diet and eat organic, so I'll have to use a gluten-free flour mix. And this will knock me out of ketosis but I don't care. Looks totally worth it! Thanks and cheers!
Lovely recipe. I will make this, wonderful.. I did a mushroom growing course recently and learned the protein in mushrooms should be cooked. I used to eat raw as well, So passing this on. It’s important to cook mushrooms rather than eating raw when it’s indigestible, thank you.
ta luv
not veggie if you use parmesan.
What a really well made video!
I was after the content and will use the recipe, but was impressed by the professional production.
It’s not that difficult to do the job properly.

Surely pronounced as pass-tea?
Looks very nice anyway.
You say these pasties are vegetarian but they're not, because Parmesan contains animal rennet: https://www.vegsoc.org/info-hub/veggie-need-to-know/cheese/.
Hope you are ok, hurry back, you are missed.
Looks wonderful and it's so easy to veganize. I will have to try this, thank you for sharing!
