Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter or oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for varied sweetness.
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut oil instead of butter.
- Add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor boost.
- Try gluten-free flour options like almond or oat flour for a dietary twist.
