I'm not exactly a seasoned cook yet but this is one of the best things I've ever made, just delicious; my girlfriend thought the same. I did think that the 1/2 tsp baharat in the recipe seemed a bit small so I upped to this to 1 tsp, maybe closer to 2 tsp (I saw another recipe that used 1 Tbsp!).
Anyone else making this, don't underestimate the prep time! It seemed to take forever to open and stuff the pittas, especially since they were so prone to tearing – I had to be super careful. It also took longer than 4 minutes/side to cook, although since it was tricky to get them all a consistent thickness this was variable.
again another amazing recipe, you are definitely right that thinner pita does not work so well with this recipe but other than that everything was delicious. So happy I found your channel, really amazing recipes that are quick easy and pretty healthy.
Looks very interesting and I love Arayes. We have it every time we go to a restaurant. I will surely make it this week and see how it goes. One successful it will be a it at a parties I have at home. Thanks for sharing
what if we cook the beef mix before we stuff it into the lebanese bread, would that make the lebanese bread version crispy? I assume the lebanese version is soggy from the water inside the meat when it's cooking
My family from Trablus loves putting pomegranate molasses into the meat mixture, every since then I get disappointed when there isn't the signature taste of pomegranate molasses in my Arayes
How come the ground meat be cooked so quickly as the cooking time is really less. Should we cook the minced beef first and filling later? Please advise as I am really confused.
Why your meat already looked cooked when you put it on the grill?
Beautiful eyes you have habibi
Do you have a video about this thin Lebanese bread? It's not pita, nor Lavash? What is it?

One question:
Did you cook the filling before stuffing the pitas?
Is these same like Hawashy?

Can you freeze the bread with the minced meat in it and cook it later or does it have to be cooked fresh? @middle eats
