Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rotini, or spaghetti)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream or full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low. Pour in heavy cream, add Parmesan cheese, and stir until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen sauce.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes for flavors to meld.
Notes
- Reserve some pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan for added flavor.
- This dish can be stored in an airtight container refrigerated up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to maintain creaminess.
