Ingredients
- Fresh sweet corn (about 5-6 ears)
- Water (for boiling)
- Ice (for chilling)
- Ziplock bags or airtight containers (for storage)
Instructions
- Husk the fresh sweet corn and boil a large pot of water. Cook the ears of corn for about 4-5 minutes.
- Prepare an ice bath and transfer the boiled corn for 5-10 minutes to cool.
- Carefully cut the sweet corn kernels off the cob using a sharp knife.
- Pack the cut sweet corn kernels into Ziplock bags or airtight containers, removing excess air to prevent freezer burn.
Notes
- Store the corn in the coldest part of the freezer for best results.
- Label each bag with the date for easy reference.
- Frozen corn can last up to 12 months but is best consumed within 6 months for optimal flavor.
