Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of milk (whole or any preferred type)
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Marshmallows, strawberries, or pretzels for dipping
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and cocoa powder over medium heat. Whisk continuously until the cocoa powder is fully dissolved and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring until fully melted and incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip.
- Transfer the hot chocolate dip to a serving bowl, top with whipped cream, and serve with various dippables.
Notes
- Store leftover hot chocolate dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
- This dip pairs wonderfully with fruits, cookies, or even just fluffy marshmallows.
