Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne or fettuccine works well)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream or full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter or heat olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated. Mix in extra Parmesan or pasta water if desired for added creaminess.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle red pepper flakes or splash white wine into the sauce.
- Reheat leftovers gently in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of milk or water to restore creaminess.
- Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh, vibrant finish.
