Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Layer thin slices of potatoes in the dish, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic between layers.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream with butter until melted and fragrant.
- Pour the cream mixture over the layered potatoes, then sprinkle with Gruyère and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
