  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 loaf (about 10 slices) 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, diced
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy using your KitchenAid Classic Iconic Stand Mixer.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and sour cream to the wet mixture, starting and ending with the dry. Mix gently until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the diced peaches (and nuts if using).
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar topping on the batter before baking.
  • Use canned peaches, drained well, as a quick alternative to fresh peaches.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap for longer freshness.
  • To keep the bread moist longer, consider wrapping in plastic wrap or placing in a quality airtight glass storage set.
