Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup fresh peaches, diced
- Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or nonstick spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy using your KitchenAid Classic Iconic Stand Mixer.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and sour cream to the wet mixture, starting and ending with the dry. Mix gently until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced peaches (and nuts if using).
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar topping on the batter before baking.
- Use canned peaches, drained well, as a quick alternative to fresh peaches.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap for longer freshness.
- To keep the bread moist longer, consider wrapping in plastic wrap or placing in a quality airtight glass storage set.
