- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute nuts with dried fruit for variation.
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let them cool on the baking sheet.
