  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (350 g) bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or thinly sliced beef strips
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream or full-fat milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or sliced beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the heavy cream or milk, stirring well. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan until melted and creamy. Add the cooked bowtie pasta, tossing gently to coat everything in the cheesy garlic butter sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a microwave or skillet with a splash of milk, adding extra cream or milk if the sauce thickens.
  • Feel free to add sautéed vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrients.
