Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup chocolate boba (tapioca pearls)
- 4 cups water (for soaking and boiling)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup tapioca starch
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Fresh fruits (such as strawberries and bananas, for garnish)
Instructions
- Soak the chocolate boba in water to soften the tapioca pearls.
- Mix cocoa powder and tapioca starch in a bowl, then gradually add milk and sugar to create a smooth batter.
- Boil 4 cups of water, add soaked chocolate boba and cook until they rise, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Layer the cooked chocolate boba in a glass, pour the chocolate batter on top, add whipped cream, and garnish with fresh fruits.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator; best consumed within 2 days.
- Boba may lose its chewy texture over time but the chocolate batter remains delicious.
- Can be paired with vanilla ice cream or flavored syrup for a unique twist.
