Ingredients
Scale
- 4 tilapia fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and grease it lightly with cooking spray. Place tilapia fillets on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).
- Brush olive oil over the tilapia fillets, then spoon the garlic-lemon mixture over each fillet, ensuring even coating.
- Position the baking sheet about 4-6 inches below the broiler for even cooking.
- Broil the tilapia for 5-7 minutes, or until opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Remove and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh tilapia for the best flavor and texture.
- Donβt overcrowd the pan for even cooking.
- Watch the tilapia closely to prevent burning.
- Check for doneness by ensuring it flakes easily with a fork.
