Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375-450°F or 190-230°C) and oil the grill grates.
- If using skewers, thread the marinated shrimp onto them. Otherwise, place shrimp in a grilling basket.
- Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque, with an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Notes
- Choose large shrimp for the best texture.
- Avoid overcooking for tender shrimp.
- Marinate for at least 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
- Use grilling baskets or skewers to prevent loss of shrimp.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired heat level.
- Add a splash of white wine to the marinade for extra flavor.
