Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup warm water (110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients from your DeLallo pizza dough kit. Make sure your water is warm to activate the yeast.
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy, then add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix to form a dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, then place in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- After rising, punch down the dough, divide it into two portions, and roll out one portion to your desired pizza thickness.
Notes
- Store any leftover dough tightly wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
- Thaw frozen dough in the refrigerator overnight for best results.
- For a crispy crust, preheat your pizza stone in the oven before baking.
