Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, diced apples, ground cinnamon, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.
- Gradually add warm water while stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes, covered.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions, shape into balls, poke a hole in the center, and stretch to form rings.
- Boil a large pot of water, drop in the bagels, and boil for 1-2 minutes per side. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place on a baking sheet.
Notes
- Store cooled bagels in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Freeze bagels for up to 2 months; thaw at room temperature or reheat in the toaster.
