Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms)
- Cooked pepperoni slices
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt, then gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
- Prepare your toppings by slicing fresh vegetables and mixing pizza sauce ingredients or using store-bought sauce.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce over the dough, followed by shredded mozzarella cheese, vegetables, and pepperoni slices.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For longer storage, freeze pizza slices separately wrapped in plastic wrap.
- Reheat in the oven for a crispy texture.
