Instructions
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until the dough forms. Add pink food coloring and mix until the dough is bright pink.
- Roll the dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness and use a flamingo-shaped cookie cutter to cut shapes. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are slightly brown. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing and sprinkles. Let your creativity flow with fun designs!
